Market Access

Conditions of Entry

Entry into the Adelaide Produce Market is restricted to those persons who:

have an Access ID Card or a Vistors Entry (VE) Permit
have agreed to be bound by and comply with APML's Operating Articles & Market Rules - Download APML's Operating Articles & Market Rules.
Amendments to APML's Market Rules - Effective 1 June 2008
propose to engage in a specific business activity in the Market
have a valid reason for being in the Market Complex.

To apply for an Access ID Card, you must complete the Access ID Card Application Form and lodge it with APML - Download Access ID Card Application Form.

To cancel of transfer an Access ID Card, you must complete the Form and lodge it with APML - Download Access ID Card transfer/cancellation Form.

Gatehouse Entry

Entry into the Adelaide Produce Market for Access ID Card holders is available via two Gatehouses - Download Map.

Gatehouse 1: Located off Burma Road, and is Access ID Card Holder & Visitors Entry, which provides 24 hours access, 7 days a week.

Gatehouse 2: Located at Merchant Crescent & Market Lane. Access is only given to those persons who have been issued with an Access ID Card, authorised by APML.

Gatehouse 2 has the following access times:

Monday / Wednesday / Friday 1am - 10am

Tuesday / Thursday 3am - 10am

Saturday Closed

Sunday & Public Holidays Wholesale Market closed

Pooraka Sunday Market (5am - 1pm)

Buyer Access

A Buyer is a Person who buys produce from Wholesalers, Growers or Grower Agents. Buyers are required to be registered with APML, and comply with APML's Operating Articles & Market Rules - Download Buyer Fact Sheet.

The general public are prohibited to enter the Adelaide Produce Market to purchase produce. They must be a Registered Buyer with APML.

Grower Access

A Grower means a Person who carries on a business as a grower of Produce upon land having an area not less than half a hectare, in South Australia, and who holds a Licence granted by APML in respect to an area allocated in the Growers Pavilion - Download Grower Fact Sheet.
