Crunch Bunch
In addition to their Sunday Mail appearance in the comic section, The six Crunch Bunch characters are made available to the fresh produce industry. Whether it’s a live performance, an appearance at a community event or a shop grand opening, the Crunch Bunch will be there! Please note hourly charges apply.
Bro Broccoli – he’s a rebel, likes pushing the boundaries and trying new things. He loves his music but there’s also nothing like getting out ion your board or BMX and just cruising around the neighbourhood. Bro’s the ultimate in cool and constantly playing tricks no the rest of the Crunch Bunch, especially Captain Capsicum. He says eating fruit and vegetables is “totally awesome”.
Captain Capsicum – he’s the self-appointed leader of the bunch. He’s bash and brave, but underneath there’s a big softy. He plays by the rules, but knows how to have fun, and we think he’s got a bit of a crunch of Gidget. Captain says that “eating fruit and vegetables makes you strong and healthy, just like me!”
Cobba Corn – he’s the explorer of the group. He loves getting in and out of nature and meeting new friends or discovering new plants and bugs. Cobba is a friend and pal to everyone he meets. He’s passionate about looking after the environment and making sure the beauty of nature is preserved for future generations to explore. Cobba says “learning all about nature is hard work, so you need to eat your fruit and vegetables”.
Gidget Strawberry – She’s an independent girl who looks out for the rest of the Crunch Bunch. When they’re in trouble, Gidget is there to help. She loves nothing more than heading down to the coast to ride some waves. Gidget’s passionate about keeping our oceans clean and looking after the marine life. She works hard in school but the Captain is always trying to distract her. Gidget says “fruit and vegetables are fun and exciting, and great for your skin as well”.
Jose Avocado – he loves a nice relaxing afternoon just lazing about. He works hard and is hilarious. Jose loves telling a joke or two. He loves his sport, and while he doesn’t play much, he loves to get along and watch, especially his favourite team the Adelaide 36ers. He’s a great cook and loves to make crazy creations in the kitchen using fruit and vegetables that are new in season and plentiful in supply.
Sonny Pineapple – He’s a runner and can be seen every day running through Linear Park or one of his other favourite locations. He’s friendly and fun but very competitive. Many people don’t know but Sonny is also an excellent cook and along with Jose cooks most of the Crunch Bunch’s meals using his favourite fruit and vegetables. Sonny says “if you want to run fast like me, you need to eat lots of fruit and vegetables”.
