Fresh produce leader wins “Most Impressive Exhibit” Award at 2011 Royal Adelaide Show

Release Date: September 16, 2011

A fresh new design coupled with celebrity chef and sporting identity appearances has resulted in the Adelaide Produce Market’s exhibit winning first prize for the “Most Impressive Exhibit” for its size at this year’s Royal Adelaide Show.

Adelaide Produce Market CEO Angelo Demasi was delighted to win the Award and paid tribute to the hard work put in by the marketing department and the team of staff and volunteers who managed the stand.

“This is only the second time that we have won an Award at the Royal Adelaide Show. It’s a huge achievement from us,” Mr. Demasi said.

Decorated with packaging and products available at the market, the Adelaide Produce Market took out first prize after beating other very impressive exhibits, including those from Royal Society for the Blind and Foxtel whom came second and third respectively.

The prominent stand was stationed in the horticulture section in the Goyder Pavilion and was handing out kiwi fruit as part of the Yellow Brick Road and was selling 400g tubs of fruit salad sourced through the market. The stand also featured a range of other marketing initiatives to attract attention and promote fresh produce, including guest appearances from two Adelaide United players, daily Crunch Bunch character appearances and live cooking demonstrations conducted by 2010 MasterChef finalist and local foodie, Callum Hann.

A live market report was also conducted from the stand on 107.9 Life FM.
