Stallholder Information

We welcome new sellers to the Pooraka Sunday Market, a vibrant morning market with an average of 3,000 customers visiting each week.

Booking & Allocation Information

Casual Stallholders

Casual Stallholders attend on a week by week basis. We recommend booking prior to Market day, to ensure a site is available.

Subject to availability of sites, stallholders without bookings will be allocated sites on a “first come – first served basis”.

Regular Stallholders

Regular Stallholders may pay for a calendar month in advance to secure the same site each week.

Regular sites are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Where possible, Regular Stallholders are given a fixed location of their choice of available sites.

Regular Stallholders must enter the market prior to 6:30 am. The Pooraka Sunday Market reserves the right to allocate Regular sites as Casual sites if the site remains unoccupied at 6.30am

Regular Stallholder sites are not transferable.

Entry Times

The Pooraka Sunday Market is open to the general public between 6am and 1pm.

Regular Stallholders may enter the Market from 5.00am

Casual Stallholders may enter the Market from 5.15am.

All roadways must be cleared by 7.00am.

No vehicle movement is permitted between 7am-12.30pm.

Site Fees

Stall fees are payable monthly or weekly, depending on the type of Stallholder (Regular or Casual).

Effective 1 July 2011 the following fee schedule will apply:

All Sellers per stand $25.00 per week
Regular (Monthly) Sellers per stand 10% discount on a calendar month when paid in advance
4 week month:             $  90.00 inc GST
5 week month:             $112.50 inc GST
Fees for the following month must be paid by the last Sunday in the current month.
Trestle Hire $5.00 per trestle per day
Electricity Usage Casual (Daily) Sellers:     $5.00 per stand per day
Regular Seller:                 $5.00 per stand per calendar month
**Food Vans:  
   - Large $100 per day inc electricity
   - Small $50 per day inc electricity

Stall Size and Location

The standard site at the Pooraka Sunday Market is 3.5 x 7.5 metres.

The majority of sites are located within the Growers' Pavilion which is an enclosed building with level concrete floor. There are also a number of sites under a large canopy outside of the Growers' Pavilion.

There are a limited number of sites with access to electricity.

Stallholders have the opportunity to purchase multiple sites, subject to availability.

Equipment & Utilities Hire

Trestle tables are available for a hire fee of $5 each per day.

Limited Powered Sites are available for a $5 per day surcharge; terms and conditions apply.

Illegal or Counterfeit Goods

The Pooraka Sunday Market maintains and enforces a strict No Counterfeits Policy.  Counterfeiting is a criminal offence and punishable under Commonwealth Law.  Stallholders offering for sale goods believed to be counterfeit may be evicted.

The Pooraka Sunday Market maintains and enforces a No Illegal Goods Policy. Stallholders offering for sale goods believed to be illegal may be evicted.

Terms & Conditions

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  • The Conditions of Entry are subject to Adelaide Produce Market Limited (APML) Operating Articles and Market Rules (The Rules) which are available on request.
  • A breach of The Rules or Conditions of Entry may result in immediate ejection of the stand holder and termination of the licence to use the stand, with no right of refund of the ticket fees.
  • Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any person.
  • Management reserves the right to refuse sale of any item or range of items.
  • All stand holders must vacate the Market grounds by 2:00pm.
  • The stand holder enters and operates the relevant stand at its own risk.
  • Monthly stand holder fees must be paid by the last Sunday of the month prior to use.
  • Stand holders must not use other vacant stands, unless authorised by PSM Management.
  • Stand holder goods must be contained within the allocated stand(s).
  • Stand holders must remove all rubbish at the conclusion of trade.
  • All vehicles must exit the selling area by 7:00am unless granted approval to remain on site by PSM management.
  • Movement of vehicles within the trading areas between 7:00am – 12:30pm is prohibited.
  • No firearms or illegal weapons may be brought onto or sold from the site.
  • No animals may be brought onto the site, with the exception of properly identified Assistance Animals.
  • No animals may be sold from the site without the appropriate permits and the prior approval of the PSM Management.
  • Smoking is prohibited in the Growers Pavilion.
  • The PSM maintains and enforces a No Counterfeits Policy. Counterfeiting is a criminal offence and punishable under Commonwealth Law.  Stand holders offering for sale goods believed to be counterfeit may be evicted.
  • Stand holder entry is from 5:00am, daily allocated sites will not be reserved after 6:00am, monthly allocated sites will not be reserved after 6:30am.

FOOD VANS - ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  • These Terms and Conditions of Entry for Fast Food Units are in addition to the General Conditions of Entry
  • A PSM Fast Food Unit ticket  allows for the daily hire of a stand for the purpose of the sale of food and/or beverages for immediate consumption at the Pooraka Sunday Market (PSM) by the Operator.
  • The range of food and or beverages must be agreed prior to the commencement of trade.
  • PSM reserves the right to refuse the sale of any item.
  • Where, in the opinion of the PSM Management, the range of food and / or beverages is extensive, the Operator may be required to purchase two or more “PSM Fast Food Unit” tickets.
  • Fast Food Unit stand holders must comply with the three mandatory Australian Food Safety Standards – 3.1.1, 3.1.2 and 3.1.3, details of which are available at http://www.foodstandards.gov.au. Copies are available on request.
  • Fast Food Unit stand holders must hold current public liability insurance in the amount of S20M (twenty million dollars). A copy of this cover must be provided to PSM management upon request.
  • The sale or supply of alcohol is strictly prohibited unless previously approved by Pooraka Sunday Market Management and the relevant permits and licenses are in place.
  • All Fast Food Unit stand holders who have been approved to provide food items for human consumption on a market day must hold the relevant permits/authority from the City of Salisbury Health Department or from their local council.
  • Electricity cost is included in the price of a PSM Fast Food Unit ticket and is subject to the Terms and Conditions of PSM Electricity Usage Charge
